Jim Lynch
Vice President, BIM Product Group, Autodesk

As Vice President of Autodesk’s Construction Products Group Jim’s organization is responsible for establishing product vision and strategy, and for designing and developing the family of products and services that address the needs of the worldwide Construction industry.

Under Jim’s leadership, the Construction Products Group through it’s innovative, market leading technology, is helping to improve predictability and profitability for construction companies worldwide. Jim’s team is responsible for delivering cloud and mobile solutions that help companies improve project quality during preconstruction, construction, and handover/commissioning. The Construction Product Group’s solutions support traditional design-build project approaches, but also support the growing adoption of manufacturing techniques in the construction industry by delivering next generation prefabrication and modular solutions.

Prior to his Construction Products role, Jim was Vice President of the BIM Product Group which through it’s innovative, market leading technology, has helped to change the way buildings and infrastructure are designed, built and operated. Jim also served as Vice President of Industry Marketing for Autodesk’s AEC Division, where he and his team were responsible for developing and driving the business strategy and go-to-market plans for the company’s AEC products and services. Jim’s work with customers and the industry at large has contributed greatly in establishing Autodesk as the world leader in Building Information Modeling (BIM). Jim joined Autodesk in 1997 and led the design and implementation of their Mechanical CAD solution, Autodesk Inventor.

Jim is a 30 year veteran of the CAD industry, who has served in a variety of senior management roles in the AEC, manufacturing, and electronic design automation industries. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Fitchburg State College.


Callan Carpenter
Vice President of Global Named Accounts, Autodesk

Callan Carpenter is in his eighth year with Autodesk and is currently the Vice President of Global Named Accounts. In this capacity, he is responsible for sales of all Autodesk products and services to the company's largest customers in the AEC, Manufacturing and Entertainment industry sectors. From 2011 to 2016, Mr. Carpenter was Vice President of Autodesk Global Services, responsible for delivering both consulting and premium support services to the same group of Named Accounts. During this period, he and his consulting teams engaged in a wide range of projects including work on the Panama Canal, the Shanghai Tower, the national rail system of Qatar, potash mines in eastern Russia and the new Mexico City Airport.

Before taking leadership of Global Services in 2011, Mr. Carpenter was vice president of Global Subscription and Support, with responsibility for the sales, marketing, and implementation of the company's $900M Maintenance Subscription program. He also led the global technical support team, and implemented the company’s first enterprise support offering.

Prior to Autodesk, Mr. Carpenter spent 22 years in the semiconductor and electronics industry where he held executive positions in engineering, sales, marketing, and general management. He holds a BS in electrical engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Texas at Austin.


Michael Shomberg
Global Vice President of Engineering, Construction, Operations & Real Estate Industry Solutions, SAP AG

Michael Shomberg is the Global Vice President of the Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Real Estate Industry Solutions and is based in United States.   As the Global VP, he is responsible for leading a worldwide group of industry experts in defining the solutions and sales tools required to manage large engineering and construction efforts at owners performing capital projects and engineering and construction firms.  In addition, as many contractors and owners have a large real estate portfolio, the group track the trends and needs of organizations that manage large portfolios of real estate.  Michael is passionate about the improving the productivity and profitability of Engineering, Construction, and Real Estate operations through the application of emerging mobile, 5D, location, cloud, and database technologies.

Michael joined SAP in 2014, after spending 15 years leading companies such as Primavera, Deltek and ARES in defining industry leading solutions for project management and controls.  At each company, Michael has led the customer advisory group, which brings together the leading Owners, Contractors and Engineering Firms to solve the most pressing issues in project management.

Prior to entering into the Project Management space, Michael spent 15 years at General Electric in a variety of Engineering and Engineering Management roles across numerous GE Divisions.  Michael received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a MBA from Villanova University.
